Tucked along the rolling hills of Bedford, New Hampshire, Meadowbrook Farm has been a quiet cornerstone of the Merrimack Valley since 1952. What began with twelve Jerseys and a handshake at the Bedford town co-op has grown into one of New England's most trusted names in raw, grass-fed milk.
Our 187 acres stretch from the banks of the Merrimack River up through pastures that catch the last light off the Uncanoonuc Mountains every evening. The cows graze year-round on native grasses — timothy, clover, and bluegrass — and in winter they feed on our own dry hay, never grain, never silage.
We don't pasteurize because we don't have to. Our herd is tested monthly, our barn is open to visitors every Saturday, and every bottle is filled within hours of milking.
Three generations of the Mitchell family have worked this land, and the fourth is already learning the ropes. Our cows are grass-fed, tested monthly, and every batch is checked before bottling. We keep our herd healthy and our barn clean because that is how real dairy farming has always worked.
